Of course I took a bite when she wasnt looking. My lovely girl had Lobster Crunch Fan Roll.Whooo Wheee, this girl wouldnt even share with me, amazing. I also got New Jersey Roll, it had fried salmon with some crunchy tempuras and other good stuff, you just have to try it, its very good. I usually get a side order of spicy mayo with this. Then for entree, I had green dragon roll, which is shrimp tempura with cucumber and avocado on top. Then we ordered two orders of Roti Canai, its a Malaysian Dish which is a flat bread (dough bread) with a side of chicken curry with lemongrass and potatoes. This thing comes out HOT (temp), and soo saucy from the teriyaki sauce. It was just right! I started off with beef nagamaki, its a Japanese food consisting of broiled strips of beef marinated which was very flavorful and juicy mixed in teriyaki sauce and rolled with scallions. The lighting is not too bright, not too dim. Pretty fancy, and the staff was very welcoming when we walked in. The moment we walked in, It felt like I was in a NYC restaurant. It's worth it.Īnother hidden hot spot that some people dont know, and should know! My girl and I had come looking for a nice Asian Bistro, and have finally found a really good one.ĭont let the SushiO name fool you, this place is not all about sushi, they have other dishes here.They cooked Japanese dishes here, Thai, and Malaysian. The worst part of SushiO is your drive on Route 1 to get here, and maybe trying to navigate through the parking lot. I did not have a chance to try these, but those at our table who tried them based on that recommendation agreed. ![]() My local friends who dine here often recommend the tobiko rolls. My green tea ice cream was much more dense than creamy compared with what I've had elsewhere, but the dollop of whipped cream on top provided balance to the flavor. Several people ordered a second round of rolls. The wasabi was good, not the best I've ever had, but definitely made to emphasize flavor instead of heat. ![]() Everyone raved about the rolls, and for me, no soy sauce was necessary. Gyoza and shumai appetizers were fresh, tasty, and not greasy. It was the best I had had in a long time. Since it's BYOB, and we had not, I ordered Thai Iced Tea. Presentation was nice without having to be fancy, and the quality was first-rate. We all ordered individual rolls, and they were all made and delivered promptly and pretty much at the same time. Everyone working there, from chefs to our waiter to the host and bus staff was friendly and attentive - our waiter was great. A party of 10 of us went there recently on a Saturday night, and we all left satisfied. SushiO was a great recommendation from a local friend.
